OBITUARY
The death took place at Bangour Hospital last week of a well-known local man, Mr David Tully, 122 Greendykes Road. He was aged 65 years. In his younger days, Mr Tully was a well-known ped. running at Powderhall and elsewhere under the name of D Hamilton, Broxburn. Many of the older school will recall Davie and another Broxburn runner, B. Johnstone, training together for the 1921 Christmas half-mile. David beat a hot favourite in his heat and Johnstone went on to win the final. Mr Tully was a keen member of the B/A.Y.C. committee and though he did not take a very active part in proceedings, his advice was wont to be sought and appreciated. He will be remembered as a quiet, caring and well-liked member of the community.
