Description

album of 11 photographs of various views of the Dedridge to Oakbank aerial haulage ropeway, circa 1912. The ropeway carried shale from Newfarm No 3 & 4 mine to Oakbank Oil Works, commencing in 1908 and stopping 1919 011 detail view of the arrangement at the Oakbank terminus of the ropeway with turning circle and storage hopper. The steelwork is stencilled with the word "Grangemouth" in several places; perhaps shipping instructions. Copy of LVSAV1998.046.
