Description

B&W negative copied in 1990 from official albums then held at Grangemouth refinery.

This view shows one of the two production lines at Pumpherston Brickworks. Spent shale was pulverized and mixed with lime in a pan mill. This mixture then passed forward by conveyor to the brick moulding press. The formed bricks were then stacked by hand onto a bogie.
